Worn surfaces are a major source of inspiration for me. This is the work of time which makes each of them unique. It magnifies them.
In the serie "Portraits Galleries", I elevate worn materials to the status of a human face, by presenting them as faces. It is a way to highlight the beauty of these objects, which are marked by the passage of time, just as human faces are.
